*Nancy Tuma*- *Pastor*

Pastor Tuma has her BA-Journalism from the University of Wyoming and her Masters of Divinity from the Iliff School of Theology, Denver Presbytery. She has served with the Montview Boulevard Presbyterian Church (1,500 Members) Youth Ministry and Missions; CPE Chaplain for St. Anthony Hospital North, Denver, CO; Park Place Retirement Community, Denver, CO and Chaplain for the Children's Hospital Colorado, Aurora, CO. In addition, she developed and coordinated "the Women’s Homelessness Initiative program" at Montview. This program is part of a larger program in Denver which operates through Capitol Hill Urban Ministries (CHUM) allowing 20-25 women without housing and living on the streets to have a warm meal for dinner and sleep on a bed, in a safe, warm place one night at a time. This ministry at Montview continues to grow and is the largest volunteer program in the church (except for Sunday School), entering its third year with well over 180 volunteers and group leaders coordinating individual areas.
Getting to know the congregations and developing relationships with not just the members, but people within the communities is something she is very excited about. Pastor Tuma’s grandparents grew up, lived, and farmed in the north central Kansas area (Belleville). She is familiar with the area and the slower pace of life. She is looking forward to getting to know the communities of Falls City and Hiawatha, as well as the surrounding areas. She grew up in Stillwater, Oklahoma, Manhattan, Kansas, Brookings, South Dakota, and Laramie, Wyoming. She has been married to Dan Hinrichs for a little over nine years. Dan grew up in Lakewood, Colorado and has moved a number of times throughout his life. They have a 26-year-old son, Matt, from an earlier marriage of Dan’s. They have a seven-year-old mixed breed dog, Dora and a 14-year-old cat, Kitty. They currently live with Dan’s 93-year-old father, Neal.
